Wildflower Hike, Whychus Canyon Preserve

FreeJoin Deschutes Land Trust and Carol Moorehead for a late spring hike at Whychus Canyon Preserve. Enjoy the best of the spring season as you search for balsamroot, pale blue flax, and other beauties all while enjoying the varied terrain and trails at the Preserve. Enjoy hiking among ancient junipers as you make your way to a rocky outcropping for a canyon overlook and mountain views. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
Hike Rating: This is a moderate 3-4 mile hike on Whychus Canyon Preserve hiking trails.
Route: This hike will start at the Whychus Canyon Preserve kiosk and follow trails partway down into the Whychus Creek canyon. Terrain will be uneven at times.
Elevation gain/loss: This hike is moderate with 150′ of elevation gain/loss.
What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
