Wildflower Hike, Priday Ranch

“Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Carol Moorehead for a spring wildflower hike at Priday Ranch. With more than 10 miles of Trout Creek, Antelope Creek, and Ward Creek, rugged canyons, and native grasslands, Priday Ranch is home to a wide variety of plants and animals. Explore the native wildflowers that dot the canyon walls as you hike up to a scenic overlook with views of the canyon carved by Trout Creek. Admire towering rock walls and learn more about the natural history of the Preserve and current restoration projects.

Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.

Hike Rating: This is a challenging 6 mile hike on roads and off-trail through grassy meadows at Priday Ranch.

Route: This hike will start near the parking area and follow a road up to a ridge above valley and then descend back down. We will venture off-trail and terrain will be uneven at times.

Elevation gain/loss: This hike is challenging with 700′ of elevation gain/loss.

What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
