Urban Sketching Workshop

June 20, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join us for an urban sketching adventure in Downtown Bend.

Registration is required. Materials provided.

We will explore the neighborhood around the library and practice our sketching skills. Working as a group will help you overcome the fear of sketching in public and gain confidence in your abilities. We will gather before the session is over to show off our work. Please dress for being outside, including a hat. Bring a folding chair or stool that is easily portable so you have something to sit on outside. If you have a sketchbook that you are working in and materials you like to use, bring those. Otherwise, we will have small sketchbooks, pens, pencils and colored pencils available for you to use.

Lee Kellogg Bio
Outdoors is where Lee Kellogg would rather be just about any day and any time. Sketchbook in hand, she records the world around her. A bird watcher from a young age, Lee has long been interested in the natural world around us. From working summer camp as a teen to being the Adult Education Coordinator at the Audubon Society of Portland to owning a retail business focused on art and craft, Lee has had much experience that all focuses on her love of the outdoors and art. Inspiring others to be creative and become aware of the world around them is part of her mission when she teaches.
