Introducing our Research Update Speaker, Dr. Carla Greenbaum.
Carla Greenbaum, MD, is the Director of the Center for Interventional Immunology and the Diabetes Program at Benaroya Research Institute in Seattle. For more than three decades Dr. Greenbaum has worked in diabetes research. As Chair of Diabetes TrialNet, she led this international group of researchers to find ways to stop type 1 diabetes. At Benaroya Research Institute, her team works to translate new science into research and clinical trials to predict, prevent, reverse, and cure autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes. Learn first-hand from Dr. Greenbaum how this research relates to people living with T1D and how their family members have an opportunity to contribute to research dedicated to the prevention of type 1 diabetes.
