Songs From the Shelf at Sisters Community Firehouse
June 17 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Enjoy an hour of book-inspired music.
This is an in-person program.
Join us for an hour of music presented in a “songwriter in the round” format. Central Oregon songwriters Lilli Worona, Jim Cornelius, and Mike Biggers will share their original songs, inspired and written from books and literature that have graced their bookshelves over the years.
Brief bios of musicians:
Mike Biggers: Mike Biggers is a Sisters, Oregon musician whose songs reflect everyday life through his personal experience and observations, often displaying his use of wordplay and dry sense of humor.
Jim Cornelius: Jim’s passions are music, the outdoors and frontier history and he’s at his happiest when all three come together. He has lived in Sisters, Oregon for 30 years, where he works as the Editor of The Nugget Newspaper and files countless interlibrary loan requests for obscure historical titles.
Lilli Worona: Lilli Worona is a Redmond based fiddle player and singer/songwriter who is known for her deeply personal lyrics and vocal prowess. She released her first studio album in 2021 and plays in several acts based in the Central Oregon area. She also works as a middle school science teacher in Redmond.
