Snowshoeing in Central Oregon

Learn about local snowshoe trails in time for winter recreation.
Bob Timmer and Kelly Cleman of the Central Oregon Nordic Club (CONC) will discuss the over 27 miles of dedicated snowshoe trails at nearby sno-parks. They will speak about equipment and clothing considerations, sources of information to help you identify which sno-park to visit, and what to expect upon arriving at the sno-park and while on the trail. They will also provide an update on trail conditions at Edison Sno-Park, which is being re-opened this year after being impacted by the Little Lava fire.

The Central Oregon Nordic Club (CONC) enhances cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Central Oregon by:
- Organizing outings for ski touring, snowshoeing & hiking
- Maintaining over 100 miles of cross-country & snowshoe trails
- Maintaining 5 warming shelters & stocking them with firewood
- Organizing social events
- Advocating for the protection of the backcountry experience
- Teaching Nordic skiing skills
