“Screenagers: Elementary Edition” film screening + panel discussion

April 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

How is time with technology impacting our kids?

Join C4C and Well Wired, a regional parent-led healthy tech advocacy group, for a thought-provoking follow-up to our fall 2024 Community Forum on Youth Wellbeing.

The event will begin with a free screening of the film Screenagers: Elementary Edition. The documentary addresses tech and social media issues that many elementary school kids, parents and educators are facing. Through insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, the film explores how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions for empowering kids to navigate the digital world and find balance.

Following the film, a Q&A panel of regional healthy tech experts will engage in a brief discussion and answer audience questions. While there is no one-size fits all to digital wellbeing, we hope this event generates thoughtful reflection and deliberation about the many ways that tech is impacting our most vulnerable community members.

This FREE event is open to the public. The film is appropriate for parents, educators, caregivers, and kids ages 9+. RSVP HERE.

Free childcare will be provided by Starshine for children under 9, and refreshments will be available for purchase from the Sisters Parent Teacher Committee (SPTC).
