Science Pub: Gardening in the High Desert is “Snow” Joke

Love to garden, but are challenged by the region’s weather?

In this Science Pub OSU Professor Amy Jo Detweiler, a horticulturist with the OSU Extension Service, will share how the climate and land in Central Oregon affects growing vegetables and plants in the landscape.

A great topic for newcomers to the area and experienced local gardeners alike, Detweiler will provide research-based advice on watering, soil, plant selection and protection to help you successfully grow your favorite plants.
