Save the Vaquita

November 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn about the world’s most endangered marine mammal – the vaquita!

Endemic to the Upper Gulf of California (Mexico) is the world’s smallest porpoise! Sadly, it is also the most endangered marine mammal with an estimated number of about 10 individuals left. Join Rebecca Myers with Vaquita SAFE to learn all about this incredible porpoise! Participants will hear a story and learn about their life cycle, why they are endangered, what is being done to help conserve them, and the role they play in the ecosystem.

Vaquita SAFE is a collaborative conservation endeavor to focus conservation efforts on saving the vaquita from extinction.
