Spring is when things begin to change, as the cold and dreariness of winter turn toward the hopefulness and beauty of the upcoming season. You look around and you can see flowers start to bloom, trees have their leaves coming out, the pastures are starting to turn green, the rivers are flowing from the snow melt, there is an abundance of energy everywhere. It’s an exciting time on the ranch as the animals are excited because they know that it’s time to go out and start to have fun and play again.
Spring is a special time for the animals at Harmony Farm Sanctuary as these animals have been neglected and abused their whole life before they arrived at the sanctuary, and now spring brings joy and excitement to them, Since arriving, they have not only been rejuvenated, but have hope and believe they can live an incredible life. This is what RISE Challenge Events strives to bring to not just the people in our lives, but to the animals also.
On May 7th, 2022, the RISE Ranch Challenge organized by RISE Challenge Events will take place. This event benefits Harmony Farm Sanctuary and their continued support for those animals that have been neglected and abused. Last year this event raised over $2,000 in support for the Sanctuary. This year the goal is $4,000.
The RISE Ranch Challenge is an obstacle course race that is based on ranch chores. Can you buck some hay, lasso a horse, stack the feed bags, fill the water trough, and most importantly have fun and laugh at the same time? Then this event is for you. It is designed around ranch chores. What is life on a ranch about, hard work, determination and the satisfaction of a job well done. This is what RISE believes in also. Nothing is given to you in life, you must earn it. The joy and relief of stacking the hay bales only turns to what is the next task. That is the everyday life of a rancher. This is what this event is about, there is always another chore to finish on the RISE Ranch Challenge!
This event is very special to RISE’s Founder and race director, Tammy Kovaluk. She has devoted her life to helping animals of all kinds. She has been a volunteer at Harmony Farm Sanctuary for four years. She has raised over $10,000 dollars through fundraisers for them including last year by setting two world records for burpees.
Join the RISE Ranch Challenge on May 7, 2022, in Bend Oregon for an exciting and different test of your abilities. This event, as all RISE events, are designed so that all skill and ability levels can compete and complete the event.
