Restoration Tour, Rimrock Ranch

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Jason Grant for a restoration tour at Rimrock Ranch. This year marks the second year of the restoration of Whychus Creek at Rimrock Ranch. Tour the section of creek that was restored this summer while you learn about efforts to improve habitat in and around the creek for fish and wildlife. See the newly restored meadow and creek and learn about what’s next in this multi-phase, multi-year project. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.

Hike Rating: This is a moderate 1-2 mile hike on old roads and through grassy meadows.

Route: This hike will start in the meadow at Rimrock Ranch and follow dirt access roads. We will also venture off-trail into the meadow. Terrain will be uneven at times.

Elevation gain/loss: There is very little elevation gain/loss on this hike.

What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
