Beyond Toxics’ Fumes in Focus initiative addresses the growing concern of gas stove pollution and its impact on indoor air quality and family health. As environmental and public health risks intensify, the Fumes in Focus project focuses on the pervasive issue of indoor gas stoves and how much they pollute our homes.

Their study, “Fumes In Focus: Visualizing Air Pollution From Gas Stoves” utilizes advanced FLIR technology to capture and visualize the immediate emissions during stove operation. With people spending more time indoors and preparing meals at home, especially during the winter holidays, the quality of indoor air has a profound effect on health. We advocate for a shift towards high-efficiency electric systems, offering recommendations and exploring financial incentives.
