Open Hub Singing Club

January 3, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

An unforgettable evening of singing…together! All voices are welcome and wanted. No previous singing experience required. All songs are taught in a call-and-echo, aural tradition process.

This is an in-person program. Wearing a face covering is optional at all library events. Optional singing masks will be available for all attendees.

Group singing is one of the most ancient technologies of belonging. The research suggested that our ancestors survived by singing together. They weren’t performing or recording. They were creating literal bonds of connection with their voices, which according to modern science also fills our brains with oxytocin and serotonin, hormones associated with trust & bonding.
