Monarch + Pollinator Garden Work Party
June 11 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Crooked River Wetlands Complex volunteers for a spring work party to care for monarch and pollinator gardens at the Crooked River Wetlands Complex! Young native plants need tending to help get established. Volunteers will help remove competitive weeds, mulch pathways, and more, giving the native milkweed and other pollinator plants a leg up. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a spring day at the Wetlands and to help improve habitat along the Crooked River. Family friendly for kids 12 and up!
Rating: Work party with moderate physical activity that includes digging and pulling weeds out of uneven ground.
What to bring: Work gloves and weeding tools (if you have them), snacks, water, and closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
