Math Anxiety – Made in The USA

Learn strategies for improving outcomes and reducing math anxiety.
This workshop is hosted by the K-8 Teachers of Math in Rural Oregon Collective (K8TMROC). Registration is required.
K8TMROC shares strategies and resources from improving students’ math literacy by reducing math anxiety and increasing their general well-being, especially for multilingual learners and students with disabilities. K8TMROC is also a source of social and emotional support for teachers across the state and is funded by the Oregon Department of Education.
Parents, teachers, and students welcome. K-8 teacher can be compensated for their participation and travel time.
Dr. Dara Shifrer, a sociology of education and a former middle school math teacher, studies STEM equity in terms of students’ characteristics and the experiences of teachers.
