Line Editing: Making Every Sentence Work

This class is designed for writers of all genres who want to learn to edit their writing on a sentence level. We’ll start by discussing how to approach your work from the viewpoint of an editor, rather than a writer, then move into basic tenets and ways to examine sentences individually, as well as the work they’re doing in a paragraph. Students are invited to submit an excerpt in advance and will have an opportunity to put these teachings into practice when we edit as a group.
