In This Together: Facing Cancer in the Context of Community

Cancer with Compassion, a local faith-based organization that supports cancer patients and their loved ones, will host a special event on Saturday, September 24 to raise awareness for the cancer community.   “In This Together: Facing Cancer in the Context of Community,” will feature a Gift Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with local vendors and a Special Program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The event will be held at Holy Communion Church, 1245 SE 3rd Street, Bend.

The Special Program will feature cancer patients speaking about the importance of community in their lives.  During this session, we will examine Marriage and Cancer, Friends and Family During Cancer, the Church and Cancer, and Cancer Support Groups.  The Program will also include a Service of Light where we will remember loved ones battling cancer and those we have loved and lost to cancer.
