Help Us Help Aaron
July 1, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 8:30 pm
Aaron just turned 4 and was recently sworn in as an “Honorary Officer” by the Redmond Police Department. He has a twin sister and a baby brother. Aaron was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer (Choroid Plexus) at the age of 6 months. His first surgery was unsuccessful. Shortly after, it lead to seizures, upwards of 20 a day. He went through chemotherapy and had a second surgery, which addressed his cancer, but the seizures persisted. Doctors from Seattle and Boston decided that the best thing to do would be to perform a Hemispherectomy, removing ¼ of his brain and disconnecting another ¼ which was done in February this year.Aaron can walk and talk but suffers from Hemiplegia which means that he will never have full motor skills on his left side. He will always wear orthotic braces to help him walk. His vision is also permanently impacted. He goes to PT and speech therapy three times a week and visits Seattle Children’s at least four times a year. Aaron loves music and dancing. His parents would love to provide him with an ADA Play Structure and/or an Adaptive Bike.
On July 1st, Oishi Japanese Restaurant located in Redmond, will donate all sales of the day along with revenue generated from a Silent Auction and Contribution Jar to Help Aaron and his family. This is their 10th Anniversary and one way they give back to the community who has supported them.
Please help us give Aaron a helping hand!
