HAM RADIO FIELD DAY

Ham radio operators from North America and around the world participate in Field Day by establishing temporary ham radio stations in public locations to demonstrate their skills and services.  Field day highlights ham radio’s ability to work reliably under any conditions from almost any location without existing existing equipment, power, or antennas.  Ham radio can function completely without the internet or phone systems and can be set up in a matter of minutes.  The High Desert Amateur Radio Group will set up a station in Creekside Park in Sisters.  The public is invited to watch the operations and can actually talk over the air during the event.  Creekside Park is near Hwy 20 and E. Jefferson on the SE edge of Sisters.
