BRIEF OVERVIEW
Located in Prineville Oregon, the family tradition was begun in 1937. It has grown from a small village on top of a buffet into a being housed at the Crook County Fair Grounds at the Pioneer Building. The story of its growth and for the community and Eastern Oregon to embrace, began in 1992 when Channel 2 Portland, did a Spirit of Christmas segment from our home in Prineville. Prior to the airing we would welcome up to 250 friends and family into our home yearly. After the show we had nearly 2000 people visit that year. We live on a dead in street and as the season progressed it became a joyful comical happening. It also inspired the Chamber of Commerce to get involved in the issuing years. Until we found our permanent home at the Crook County Oregon Fair Grounds 14 years ago, we assembled and tore down in donated vacant store fronts around the community. The family tradition is celebrating its 87 years of sharing this year.
