Geology Hike, Paulina Creek Preserve

FreeJoin the Deschutes Land Trust and Daniele McKay at the end of the day for a geology hike at Paulina Creek Preserve! Take in outstanding views of Oregon’s largest active volcano while you learn more about the geologic history of the region and recent volcanic activity at Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
Hike Rating: This is an easy 2-3 mile hike on dirt and gravel roads.
Route: This hike will start at the Paulina Creek Preserve parking area and follow dirt and gravel roads. Terrain will be uneven at times.
Elevation gain/loss: There is very little elevation gain/loss on this hike.
What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
