Exhibit: Leticia Carson Legacy Project

Explore how Letitia Carson, a former slave, was forced off her land after her husband died and despite Oregon’s exclusionary laws barring African Americans from residency and civil rights, fought a legal battle to keep her land. The exhibit is part of OSU-Cascades’ celebration of Black History Month. The exhibit is open for viewing on weekdays in Obsidian Hall, second floor.
