EVERGREEN TRAIL GRAND OPENING

Join us for the grand opening of Evergreen trail, our first designated mixed-use* easy hiking and downhill bike trail. Spanning just under 4.5 miles from Pine Marten Lodge to the West Village base area, this trail is a great option for young families, sightseers, and casual mountain bikers. With an average grade of 5% and measuring approximately 4-6 feet in width, it promises sweeping views of surrounding mountains and lakes without the necessity of navigating off-camber terrain, large rocks, stairs, or steep pitches.

*Evergreen allows two-way traffic for hikers and downhill traffic for bikers. Uphill bike travel is not permitted at Mt. Bachelor. 

Evergreen will relieve growing pressure on local wilderness areas along the Cascade Lakes Highway and provide an alternative to trails where permit systems have been implemented. As Central Oregon’s population and visitation continue to grow, Mt. Bachelor is committed to stewarding critical, desirable, and stable outdoor recreation options for the community.

EVENT DETAILS

11:30 a.m. – Ribbon cutting ceremony, swag giveaway, and free drink tokens valid at the pop-up bar on the Pine Marten Lodge deck, while supplies last! Then enjoy a guided hike with a volunteer ranger, or take to the trail solo.
