Embodied Pregnancy Ceremony: A Rite of Passage for Mothers
October 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Whether your 1st or your 4th, Pregnancy is a pivotal period in the life of any mama-to-be. However, for the majority of women, the only celebration being had during pregnancy is a baby shower. Great for gathering the physical needs of an infant and revealing genders, but they leave me asking… What about mama? Where are the horns and streamers for our changing body, the 1,001 fears that bubble up, and the loss of identity that childbearing can bring on? In a world that continues to spin faster and faster, this is a special opportunity to relish in your (maybe once in a lifetime) 40 weeks to birth.
Our evening will include:
~opening circle/tea
~body settling
~introductions
~embodied meditation
~acknowledgement ritual
~crafting of intuitive birthing memento
~closing circle
~tea and chocolate social time
Bring:
~Your blossoming belly in comfy clothes, journal & pen
