Downtown Bend: Know Revolutions – Russian Revolution Roots

Participants will have a chance to read excerpts of Marx, Lenin, and Stalin as we explore the ideal and the real behind the October 1917 Revolution in Russia – the one that created the Soviet Union. Some of the questions we will pursue include;
Was the Russian Revolution representative of Marx’s idea of revolution? Was Russia Communist? Did the USSR colonize?
