Discover the Power of Adaptive Cycling at This Free Two-Day Event in Bend
Spokes Fighting Strokes, a national nonprofit founded by stroke survivor Dan Zimmerman, is bringing its mission of mobility and empowerment to Bend with a two-day adaptive cycling event at Pine Nursery Park.
On Monday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, the Adaptive Trike Clinic offers participants a chance to try out a variety of three-wheeled recumbent trikes with personalized support. Whether you’re a stroke survivor, living with a disability, or simply curious about adaptive cycling, the clinic provides a safe and welcoming space to reconnect with movement and confidence.
On Tuesday, June 3 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, join the Community Meetup Ride, a casual, accessible group ride designed to build community and celebrate what’s possible after trauma.
Both events are free and open to the public. Hosted in partnership with Bend-based nonprofit Beyond Stillness – Stories After Stroke, this is a powerful opportunity to engage with a proven tool for recovery, independence, and joy.
