Local Artists of the High Desert — COMAG’s 11th Annual Art Show

The Central Oregon Metal Arts Guild (COMAG) proudly presents the 11th annual Local Artists of the High Desert art show — a vibrant, community-driven celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the diverse talent found across Central Oregon.

This year’s event will take place August 15–17 at the Hampton Inn in the Old Mill District, a beautiful and accessible venue located along the scenic river trail in the heart of Bend’s art and culture hub. The show is free and open to the public, welcoming art lovers, collectors, tourists, and locals alike.

What began as a gathering of metal artists has grown into a regional showcase of artistic excellence across many disciplines. While COMAG’s roots are in metalwork, this juried show now includes a wide range of mediums. Attendees can expect to see:

• Hand-forged metal sculptures and decor

• Painting and fine art

• Photography

• Glass art

• Ceramics

• Jewelry

• Sculpture

• Mixed media

• And more

Every artist featured in the show is a local creator living and working in Central Oregon. Some are full-time professionals; others are part-time or emerging artists. All bring a unique perspective and a passion for their craft. The emphasis is on quality, originality, and connection to the region. Many of the artists will be on-site throughout the event, providing a rare opportunity to meet them in person, learn about their process, and purchase work directly.

The atmosphere of the show is welcoming and community-focused — no pressure, just great art and genuine connection. It’s an excellent opportunity to support local talent, discover one-of-a-kind pieces, and find something truly special, whether it’s a statement sculpture, a thoughtful gift, or an inspiring new favorite.
