Central Oregon Symphony Winter Concert Series 2024

This concert will take place on the evening of February 24, 2024 at 7:30 pm. There will also be a matinee performance on February 25th at 2:00 pm.
Following last year’s Central Oregon Chamber Orchestra performance of Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3, the Central Oregon Symphony is pleased to perform another work by this fantastic nineteenth century French composer, her Concert Overture No. 2. Jumping across the border to Spain, and forward three-quarters of a century, we will hear the soulful strains and driving rhythms of Spanish dance music drawn from Manuel de Falla’s ballet The Three-Cornered Hat. Additionally, the winners of the Central Oregon Symphony Association Young Artist Competition will be featured in this concert. The winners that will perform with the COS are:
1st Place: Jan Vargas Nedvetsky, Cello
2nd Place: Maggie Carter, Double Bass
3rd Place: Avery Armstrong, Piano
