Central Oregon Symphony Spring Concert Series 2022

The Central Oregon Symphony season finale is fast approaching. On Sunday, May 22, 2022, two performances (2:00pm and 7:30pm) will take place in the Bend High School Auditorium. The 2:00pm performance will also be livestreamed. Approximately one hour in length and without intermission, the concerts will feature one of the Central Oregon Symphony Association’s 2021 Young Artist Competition winners, Nolan Tu, performing the dramatic and brooding first movement of Camille Saint-Saens’ “Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor.” The “Symphony No. 7” by Ludwig van Beethoven, will follow. COS conductor Michael Gesme explains: “the classical music world was seriously shortchanged on Beethoven’s 250^th birthday celebrations in 2020 owing to the pandemic and I’m hoping to make up for some lost time with my favorite of his symphonies — though I’ll admit that it is a bit like choosing your favorite child.”
