“Bodies, Boundaries & Behavior – We’re All Sexual Beings” Training with KIDS Center & CODSN

FRIDAY March 10th- Parents/Support Persons & Professionals: This free training is designed to help parents and professionals become more comfortable and confident addressing sexuality topics with individuals with I/DD. Learn about common sexual learning patterns and their impact on sexuality. You’ll also learn best practices for teaching sexuality and key foundational concepts. Our trainer will share a helpful model for thinking about support, and other resources and ideas for supporting healthy sexuality at home, school, and in the community.

SATURDAY March 11th- Parents/Support Persons: Parents and tweens learn together in a comfortable, safe, and fun environment. Concrete teaching methods (videos, pictures, games and activities) are used to improve comprehension and help parents become more comfortable and confident helping their tweens understand body changes, ways to manage these changes, safety, and social appropriateness.
