BEND 101: Waste in Bend—Impact, Diversion & Innovation

Bend 101 is all about learning and connection for new residents and those who’ve been here a while but are wanting to become more involved. Spend the evening getting to know the history of Bend, how it developed into what we experience today, and how we can all contribute to a thriving community as we grow into the future.
Join us for an engaging Bend 101 focused on how our city and community manage waste and preserve our incredible natural beauty. This session will feature a panel of local leaders who play a role across the waste stream and are working to reduce our environmental footprint. Whether you’re new to Bend or a long-time resident, this is your chance to learn how Bend approaches waste management, landfill realities, and sustainability goals—and how you can play a part.
There will be time to socialize, indulge in bites and beverages, and enjoy the program at The Mountain Room at Deschutes Brewery.
