August Job Fairs at the Bend Post Office

The Bend Post Office is hosting job fairs every Thursday throughout the month of August. Anyone in need of a new career should stop by for more information and to fill out an application. No appointment is necessary.

Postal jobs offer good pay, stability, lifelong benefits and career advancement opportunities throughout the entire agency. The Postal Service is continually hiring new employees throughout Oregon, and USPS is one of the nation’s largest employers with ongoing attrition needs.

There are more than 635,000 postal employees throughout the nation, including nearly 63,000 veterans.

Employees will be available to help fair attendees with information about benefits, qualifications, and application questions. Laptops will be available on the day of the event for immediate application submission.

Starting pay varies depending on the job. But starting pay for carriers ranges between $19 and $22 per hour paid bi-weekly. Applications are also accepted online at www.usps.com/careers.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Although in some instances, interested candidates can also be 16 with a high school diploma. Applicants must also be available to work weekends and holidays.
