Join COCC in celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! A film screening and discussion of “Turning Red” by Pixar and Disney is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Coats Campus Center on the Bend Campus. Events are free and open to the public.
“Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee, a 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter. And as if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited, she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Rated PG.
