Zoom Author Event: Day Hiking Mount Hood by Eli Boschetto
Thursday, April 29, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Mount Hood is Oregon’s highest mountain and undisputed mecca of outdoor recreation. You are invited to join Mountaineers Books author Eli Boschetto on a scenic trail tour to some of the mountain’s most breathtaking locations. After spending three years meticulously hiking the mountain’s hundreds of miles of trails, he will highlight extraordinary alpine meadows, old-growth forests, dramatic canyons, spectacular waterfalls, rugged volcanic ridges and sparkling lakes. Eli will also take you on a journey along Mount Hood’s two big trails, the Timberline and the Pacific Crest Trail. And best of all, every trail covered can be done one day hike at a time. Whether you’re new to the Northwest, or a long-time native, Eli will give you a fresh perspective on Mount Hood’s popular hiking trails, as well as lesser-known routes. His seasonal approach will help you discover the best mountain views, the most spectacular wildflowers, journeys to save for rainy days, trails for hiking with dogs and small children, and where to find fall color. Plus, he will offer tips and suggestions for when to go to avoid the most crowded trail times, and what to be prepared for as you venture into the wide Mount Hood Wilderness. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the best that Mount Hood has to offer.
