Public Screening of 'School's Out: Lessons from a Forest Kindergarten'
Join the Children’s Forest of Central Oregon for a film screening of School’s Out: Lessons from a Forest Kindergarten (2013). The 36-minute film follows children 4 to 7 years of age in Switzerland, who attend kindergarten in the woods every day, no matter what the weatherman says. This eye-opening film shines a light on the importance of free play and healthy risk-taking for young children. The film will be followed by a panel discussion about what parents, educators, and health care providers in Central Oregon can do to promote the messages in the film in our community.
