ONLINE ONLY: Magnificent Monarchs

Thursday, August 20, 2020, 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM

A link to view this program online will be available beginning August 19th at 6:00 p.m. at https://www.deschuteslibrary.org/calendar/event/60384

Join Amanda Egertson, Stewardship Director of the Deschutes Land Trust to learn more about this butterfly in peril.

The monarch is an iconic species, one of the most intrepid migrants of the insect world, and their population has plummeted in recent years. Amanda will talk about some of the challenges monarchs face, how to tell the difference between monarchs and other common local butterflies, and what you can do to help them.

Amanda Egertson is the Deschutes Land Trust's Stewardship Director and oversees the management of all of the Land Trust's protected lands.
