Know Horror: "The Canterville Ghost" Preview at CTC

Friday, October 18, 2019, 1:30 AM - 3:00 AM

Find out what happens when an American family meets the ghost of Sir Simon in the play by Tim Kelly, directed by Molly Choate.

An average American family acquires historic old Canterville Chase - complete with a ghost! Sir Simon, the sporting spirit, succeeds in making life miserable. Then the Americans strike back. Pam and Wendy, daughters of the new owners, attack the poor ghost with cans of hairspray and deodorant! Sir Simon feels this is hardly fair, so he enlists the help of some friends: Hester the Horrid, Lady Joan the Graveless, the Vampire Duchess, and other things that go bump in the night. Life is hectic and fantastically funny around Canterville Chase until the real solution to the problem of the galloping ghost is discovered.

Cascades Theatrical's All Aspects Teen Theatre provides theatre opportunities to local teens in the areas of acting, directing, designing, writing, and technical applications for the stage. The program appeals to those students who express an interest in the craft. It also aims to develop participants' skills in "all aspects" of the theatre rather than simply the on-stage elements to broaden awareness and understanding of the discipline, while encouraging their creativity and fun. Thanks to patron support, sponsorship and donations the All Aspects Teen Theatre is completely tuition free.
