A Walk of Awareness
We invite you to take part in a silent walking meditation. In support of 2nd Annual The Healing Trauma Conference, May 2020.
Unplug, clear your mind, take in the sights and sounds of nature. Let your thoughts and feelings that arise, pass like the drifting clouds. Allow yourself to be a curious observer; how does your body feel as it moves? Notice the breeze as it moves through the trees, listen to the rush of Tumalo Creek. These are all gentle reminders to take time time to enjoy BEing in the moment. To just BE with, any thoughts, feelings that come up without judgement, and to come up without judgement, and to come back to your experience of the NOW.
There will be positive, uplifting, enlightening affirmations all along the trails for you to reflect upon and inspire you (a notebook and pen will be provided for reflections). Once you have completed your journey (at your own pace) on the path you have chosen, bring yourself into the awareness that you have the power to create whatever it is you want for yourself.
Afterwards, you are then invited to join in community, as we gather for encouragement, support, and sharing at the covered picnic area (optional).
We will start and end at the Aspen Meadow Shelter. All abilities welcome. Choose the 1.5 miles of paved path or 4.5 miles of well-maintained trails for your walk. **Wear comfortable layered clothes and please bring a water bottle. Light snacks will be provided.
Please, let us know if you will be there. As we have to limit the number of participants, per Bend Parks and Rec. To register, to go: https://www.thehealingtraumaconference.com/the-walk-of-awareness/
