Two New Exhibitions Open at Scalehouse Gallery

This exhibition explores repair, resilience, and transformation through sculpture made from discarded materials such as rusted metal, weathered concrete, and found objects. Jennifer Rabin reimagines these fragments as shelters—structures that hold memory, injury, and renewal. Through plant and animal fibers and needle-felting techniques, the work reflects on how broken systems and bodies can be reassembled in new, adaptive ways.

Visual Echoes
An exhibition featuring Oregon-based artists exploring geology, transformation, and the layered history of Central Oregon. Developed in dialogue with Oregon Origins Project VIII: Echoes of Eruption, the exhibition reflects on volcanic landscapes, deep time, and ongoing cycles of change. Works include drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and mixed media, offering diverse interpretations of the Newberry Caldera region.
Featured artists include Anna Gray + Ryan Wilson Paulsen, Anne Gibson, Charlie Davis, Claire Gunville, Elizabeth Rau, Emily Livengood, Kathleen McFall, Kelley Vernon, Leah Wilson, Marne Lucas, Megan Hatch, Stephanie Carbone, and Zack Fagin.
