3rd Annual The Healing Trauma Conference
"Come To The Table -Nourish Your Body, Mind and Spirit to Become The Whole You" is this year's theme for the Annual Healing Trauma Conference presented by Haelan House a non-profit in Bend, OR. The event will be livestreamed virtually starting April 30rd through May 2nd, for anyone who is interested in learning what tools, education, and resources are available about trauma and practical techniques for healing from trauma. With the very traumatic and stressful year of the local to worldwide pandemic to individual traumas from childhood to death, this event will have helpful information, tools, and inspirational stories for individuals of all ages to have hope on healing trauma and become more resilient when trauma comes into your life. Our Kickoff Speaker, Playwright/Performer and Founder of "My Scar is Sexy", Christina Helena will present "Mental Health is Rooted in Strength" on April 30rd at 4pm. On May 1st at 9 am, the Opening Keynote Speaker Dr. Mary Meador will present "Understanding the Brain -The Healing Power of Self Awareness" and the day will end with Jon Paul Crimi's presenting "Using the Incredible Power of Breathwork to Heal Trauma" at 3pm. On May 2nd at 9am, the Opening Keynote Speaker is Willa Goodfellow will present "Suicidal Thoughts as Trauma: Taking Charge Of My Own Recovery" and the day will end with a closing presentation from Elizabeth Bouvier-Fitzgerald, "Hunger: How Do We Experience Fullness When Society Demands We Stay Hungry." Besides these keynote speakers the conference will feature 14 other presenters and break out speakers on a variety of subjects about trauma, ways to help heal it, and useful tools to bring into your life and daily practices. There will be useful information and hope for everyone at the conference, as Haelan House wants to inform how trauma can affect a person's 6 areas -mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, nutritional, and social well being. When we work to learn about trauma, to heal from trauma(s) a resiliency grows inside of us, and a person can grow and thrive to become a healthy whole being for themselves and others. There is Hope, there is a Community that can be there for you, and there is Resilience that can bring an empowerment to each individual about trauma.
