Session Dates: Oct 17, 24, Nov 7, 14, 21 Description Linux Means Freedom E::SPACE Labs is offering an Introduction to the Linux operating system using the popular Raspberry Pi  3 platform. This class is designed for anyone interested in developing an embedded Linux device or wanting to understand what is going on behind the scenes of their Linux computer. The emphasis of this course is working with the Linux Command Line, aka the Linux Terminal. No prior technical knowledge of computer operating systems is required. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this training you should have a excellent working knowledge of Linux, from both a graphical and command line perspective, allowing you to easily use the powerful command line infrastructure to reach a higher level of utilization of your computer. The course will be taught using the popular Raspberry Pi 3 platformWhat you'll learn A good working knowledge of Linux and its history How to navigate through a major Linux distribution Ubuntu Mate System configurations and graphical interface of Linux Basic command line operations Common applications of Linux “Many people still believe that learning Linux is difficult, or that only experts can understand how a Linux system works. Though there is a lot of free documentation available, the documentation is widely scattered on the Web, and often confusing, since it is usually oriented toward experienced UNIX or Linux users. Today, thanks to the advancements in development, Linux has grown in popularity both at home and at work.
