For the 16th consecutive year, the Central Oregon Great Giveaway (COGGA) will help families in Central Oregon to get ready for the new school year and colder seasons. This community event, which is organized and supported entirely by volunteers and donations, takes place in Bend on Saturday, August 11th from 8 a.m. to noon.
With the theme of “Give what you can, take what you need,” donations of household goods, furniture and clothing in excellent condition are accepted and then given away for free at the address listed below. All items are free for individual use only. For a list of acceptable items to donate, please visit www.cogga.net.
This year we offer one event at a centralized location:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2555 NW Shevlin Park Road.
• DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED on Thursday, August 9th and Friday, August 10th,
between noon–8 p.m.
• ITEMS ARE GIVEN AWAY on Saturday, August 11th, between 8 a.m.–noon.
In addition to the event host, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Great Giveaway is co-sponsored by the Interfaith Network of Central Oregon (INCO) and the Westside Church.
